Sargasso Sea Sock Kit

In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, two powerful currents come together, whirling round and around, partners in an unending dance. At the center is a place shrouded in mystery, a sea within a sea. This place of still, clear water and floating seaweed islands has been said to becalm ships forever and to harbor mermaids. It is the Sargasso Sea.

Using the seaweed floats caught adrift in the ocean currents as inspiration, my friend Cindy, of cindyknits, has written a new sock pattern using Ball and Skein’s Sock Yarn. We’ll be offering this as a kit, to be shipped beginning April 1st. Included in the kit are the pattern, with written and charted instructions, a skein of our 4 ply, high twist, machine washable sock yarn in the Sargasso Sea colorway, and a little seashell stitch marker. A perfect way to chase away the greys of winter and rainy days of spring.
