Now that all of the spring shows are over, I am finally starting to catch up. It was wonderful, as it always is, to see so many of you and catch up on a bit of news, wave a hello and get a quick hug. Thanks to all who stopped by. It is especially nice to see the projects that you bring to show knitted with my yarn. It makes my day! During the shows, I said I would work to get the website up to date during the month of June, no promises, but I'd try. Whew! June whizzed right by. The updates are underway, not completed. Some of you know that I go between a very slow dial up internet service and a wonderful broadband. That's my excuse. Here are the updates so far.. ~ J The Super Sock 416 is up to date. Check out the new "Wear to Work" colors. So many of you asked for colors that you could wear or that men would wear to the office that I finally got busy and came up with four very wearable neutrals: After Midnight: darkest navy to black Slate: deep charcoal tones Cinder: grey to brown Caribou: shades of light brown, beige and saddle Elise and Sophia, two new fingering wt. yarn bases are now online. Still to come is another fingering / sock wt. Weatherfield. If you've visited the Ball and Skein booth anytime in the last year, you've seen all of these. Pasha, in lace wt. and dk, is still offered only as part of a kit. Our Electric Skein Winders (this includes the Multi-Skeiner) have been updated to now include shaped yarn pegs. These keep your skeins separated while winding, no more crossovers. The Yarn Pegs are also available separately if you wish to upgrade an older model. The Crank Winder now comes in two sizes; a single and a triple skein winder. Just check the drop down box on the Crank Winder page. ![]() Beach Glass!!..a sweet easy pattern by Susan Lawrence. I am so very pleased to be able to offer this as a kit. Paired with Ball and Skein's 100% pure cashmere lace yarn, Pasha. The colorway is Beach Glass. This little shawlette is the perfect size to wrap softly around your neck to keep away the cold blasts of winter. When the weather turns warmer, push it back onto your shoulders. A lovely hug, in 100% cashmere. each of Ken's spindles is unique, a work of art. The spin is effortless and long lasting. One customer was overheard to say, "They spin all the way to the ground !" I'm crazy about them. They are a joy to the eyes and as a tool. Look for them in the "Spindles" section. ................................................................................................................. Looking for a small project? Cowls, fingerless mitts and little shawlettes make perfect take with projects. Most take only one skein of fingering or lacve wt. yarn. They make great gifts and are perfect knitted 'jewelry'. Knit Spiraluscious by Anne Hanson in our 100% merino "Weatherfield" or The Forest Canopy Cowl by Susan Lawrence in our "KashMir", a soft and weightless cashmere / merino blend. ![]() |
